These mills are handmade using the same methods used for the past 200 years where they first saw service as coffee mills for the Greek army. This mill is responsible for the origin of the phrase “pepper grinder”, since the mill actually grinds the pepper releasing maximum flavour. Most commonly used pepper mills only smash the peppercorns.
